Best Brawler on Wii
To put it simply - if you like beating people up in your videogames and can handle a Mature rating then this game is for you. It's an excellent game with an amazing soundtrack, and it's a Wii game that's not to be missed.

Repetitive, but okay for 1/2 hour
This game gets boring and loses its appeal rather quickly. There are 3 components on every stage:

1. Kill guys until your score gets high-enough...
2. A station will then pop-up, this triggers the mini-game, where you usually throw or smash guys
3. Kill more till your score activates the next trigger, which will be the boss-battle

Note: Every stage has a time limit of 30 Minutes.

All games have a repetitive nature, so I tend to overlook that criticism. However, this game deserves it. Because when your killing people your not really doing anything but trying to get it over with to activate the next trigger. This is not a platformer game, where you jump, walk, and progress through the stage. The stages are setup as small areas and guys keep respawning once you kill them. No way to level or improve your character. It just seems pointless and boring.

It has a very comic book feel to it as the designers intended. If you hit someone it says "Blam" or whatever. Also set in black and white, with only the blood and some lettering and on-screen prompts set with yellow highlights.

Everything I read from critic & user reviews was true:
1. Redundant & game gets less fun as you play for a couple hours
2. If you die too much at the big boss and lose all your lives, you have to start all over again (annoying)
3. Black & White screen can be tiresome on eyes if played for an extended period of time

Music kills the game. Really unbearable!
The game is fine. The graphical style makes it stand out from other wii title. Unfortuately, the horrible music kills it. It sounds like they had only 5 seconds of rap music to loop and loop and loop and loops, and what they had was not good. Within five minutes, it's unplayable without shutting off the sound. Without question, this game that is annihilated by the horrible, repetitive, annoying soundtrack. These days, I expect a lot more from a game in terms of engaging sound-- years ago I played games on my Amiga with 1 meg (yes meg) of RAM that had better soundtracks. You have to have more than a few seconds of annoying, poorly executed rap to make people want to play for hours. I'm afraid the soundtrack really ruins the gameplay experience on this title. It's clear where the budget ran out on this one.

Make sure you are not expecting 2 WII controllers.
It is an easy way to keep kids playing without the constant expense of replacing batteries. Its an essential product for Wii people.
Easy to use and reliable

Charging Station
This charging station works very well, charging my Wii remote quickly and thoroughly. The only thing that would make it better is if they could somehow design it so that one did not have to remove the jacket in order to charge the remote. Putting on and removing the jacket is kind of a pain, but it does make hanging on to the remote much easier. Something to think about in future designs, yes?

Looks nice but....
It's better to buy rechargeable batteries like Sanyo's Eneloop brand because they hold a longer charge. And the Nyko's seem to loose charge a bit to soon even when not in use.

Not enticing enough to finish
I like Force Unleashed for Wii. The controls are great. You get to feel like you are actually weilding the Force and the Lightsaber. That said...
The game isn't enticing enough for me to actually finish it. I started back when I bought it (November), played it a few hours, and only recently did I get up to the part where Starkiller meets Shaak Ti. I have miniscule motivation to finish it.
Besides that, the multiplayer aspect sucks. I mean SUCKS! It's like thrown in their so they can put the multiplayer symbol on the box. I like to interactively play my games with my sister, but this game, like so many others, must be played all the way through on single player just for a few crummy duels in duel player. Definitely NOT worth it.
Camera moves are meh. They are pretty slow and never seem to be where you really need them (i.e. at the guys who are shooting at you). Graphics I didn't notice too much partially because I was so cooled out with the controls and partially because I have no better basis (I don't have PS3 or Xbox). Voice acting was good. What story it had was good (I mean, can you really call the cut scenes a story when all they do is set you up for the next fight and oogle at Juno's ahems?).
It is a pretty violent game, but then the Teen rating should cue you in on that. And there is some sexuality in the female characters--particularly the ever-present scanty clothing (which seems out of uniform for Captain Juno).
My overall opinion? I play Rock Band 2 almost every day. I play Wii Sports almost every week. The Force Unleashed about once a month. Maybe I'll finish it one day...

This is without a doubt the greatist game i have ever played!!! every thing is awsome. i dont know what people are talking about the camra angles being bad??? i have played several hours, and have not had a problem. the coolest move is griping your appount in mid-air and throwing your lightsaber from across the room into his chest. i have to admit, the one thing i think would make this better would be online play some how. but the gameplay as it is, is over the top!!!

This is one of their favorites
I might even dare to say that this is their favorite game. The 4, 5, and 8 year old all like to play it alone and together.

It's a smash hit
Great game with lots of fun features and mini games.
The adventure portion is fun when your playing alone and the Brawl part is great for a group of friends.
My only complaint is adding a second controller is a little difficult to figure out. Here is the scoop
When you get into the Brawl "SELECT MODE" screen press the "HOME" button on your wii remote. Point to the very bottom of the screen "Wii Remote Settings" and push "A". Then point to "Reconnect" and push "A". Now hold down "1" and "2" for your first remote then do the same (one at a time) for the rest of your remotes (up to four)
With a large number of playable characters to unlock it keeps the fun going for a quite a long time.

Cheap Junk
I was starting to get bored on having to complete a whole game by itself so I got the action replay for DS. It was great except I had absolutely no idea how to download more codes (maybe in the instructions it'll say). Just when I was about to use my action replay again, it broke. All the codes were completely erased from the AR and I couldn't download anymore codes (it didn't allow me to). Overall, fun at the beginning but then turns into useless junk I just really want to rip in half!
P.S. this product is a money waster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A powerful tool... IF you know how to use it
The Action Replay for the DS, just like all other cheat devices like Game Shark and Game Genie, is a powerful tool that modifies games in anyway you see fit. It can be something simple like Max Cash or Infinite Time, or something insanely complex like some of the codes fans have created for Kingdom Hearts II (Examples being Playing as Roxas outside of his scenario, location modifiers, etc). It's extremely useful, especially for Pokemon.

To those who have given the AR a bad review:

If you don't know what you are doing, or use codes haphazardly, of course you could risk damaging your game or deleting your saves. If you are going to add codes you have to be precise and careful. These codes modify the actual coding within the game. You really have to know what you are doing if you want to try making your own codes, otherwise you could have some horrible results.

Example, back when I was a young, stupid kid I tried putting in a code for Pokemon Red into Pokemon Gold... this resulted in making the Ingame Phone on the Pokegear ring every single time I took 1 step.

So really, Parents, if you are going to buy this for your kid be sure to let them know that the AR isn't a toy. It's a powerful tool that can be used for effectively if used right.

Poor Quality
This starter pack is very poor quality and I will be sending it back. The DSi doesn't really fit well in the case. The charging stand charged the DSi with about 5 minutes of run-time after being on the stand all night. Seemed like it was a good value, but not for the quality.

Black 18 in 1 starter kit
When I got my DSi, this was the only kit available from Amazon.com. I have to say, for the price I paid I am very disapointed. The main items in the kit are the zippered case, headphones, charger dock, and car charger. To bring the numbers up, they throw in a bunch of junk like: drawstring bag, 2 styli, screen protectors, 4 "cleaners", headphone adapter (for dual headphones), wrist strap, came cases, second wrist strap with clip.

What I really wanted was the zippered case and the car charger. The case is OK, but nothing great. There are no straps to hold your DSi in - so if it comes open accidently your DSi will fall out. There are also no pockets of any kind for holding games in the case.

The car charger is OK too, but I was disapointed that it wasn't a USB charger and a USB car adapter - not that the ad said it was, just that i would prefer that.

The screen wipes, or whatever they are called - just plain dumb and used to raise the numbers for the kit. Totally useless and cheap crap. Why would you ever need more than 1 anyway?

2 Styli - again, why?

Screen protectors - not really needed, but lots of people love to use these things. I guess some folks will get use out of them. I didn't.

Wrist strap for DSi - I actuallylike this item. It makes me feel safer knowing if I drop my DSi (with the strap on my wrist) I will find it dangling and not on the ground in peices.

Game cases - seem decent, but I like to keep my current games in one of those hard wallets that holds 6 games.

Drawstring bag - useful for putting all the extra junk in and tossing a box.

USB SD card reader - I suppose this could be handy for most people, but I use SD+USB from Sandisk, so not needed.

Charging Dock - you have to use your own DSi charger for this to work or use the car charger. Seems to be of good construction, but I have not used it yet. it will be worthless once i get a skin case.

I hope others looking at this will find the info useful. [....]

Unexpected Favorite
This is one of those games that you've probably never heard of before, but its much better than you're expecting.

Its an excellent homage to classic games. The sub-games include the same look and feel as the their real-life counterparts. They have the same challenges, gameplay, and sometimes amusing spelling errors. There are also secrets and cheat codes if you get stuck (you can find these inside in-game magazines). You can tell a great deal of care was put into making these games feel very authentic.

Arino (the kid that watches you play) often makes comments about the gameplay such as "Dude!!" or "That was close" or "1-up, baby!" He expresses excitement, confusion, sadness, or realization which is surprisingly appropriate. He'll get really excited if you find a secret warp or if you do something amazing. He'll also get sad or frustrated if you do poorly. It adds a lot more to the game than I would have expected.

You should definitely try this game if
- You played video games in the 1980s
- You're a fan of classic or retro games
- You just like good, simple, fun, and somewhat challenging games

This is an excellent game, and I'm eagerly awaiting a sequel.

Fantastic game
This game is fantastic for anyone who remembers what it was like to be a gamer in the 1980s. It's not just a collection of crappy mini games. Every detail is captured, right down to the rack of magazines giving hints and tips like I used to have. Most of the games are really fun and entertaining and I can't wait for the sequel of 16 bit games.

If you grew up with the original Nintendo... you will love this game.
This game is just fun. Everything I remember as a kid is in this game. I love it! Check it out especially if you have played games your whole life and are in your late 20's early 30's. Awesome!!!

It really is Heaven!
When I first saw this game for sale, I didn't buy it because the info on it was really vague. But I kept on seeing it everywhere, so I thought I would just bite the bullet and purchase it.
I'm so glad I did!
From the first mini--game, I was addicted! The games are inventive, some even a bit pleasantly bizarre, and contain just the right amount of challenge. A pure genius had to have made this simple but amazing game.
Buy this game. It's one of the best out there, and this is coming from a person who is constantly trading in games because I find them all boring or plain.
It's heaven in a tiny package.
Find your inner rhythm!

Great for musicians
I highly recommend this game for anybody interested in rhythm and performing at an almost robotic precision. At first it didn't seem very interesting, but very soon it became a very engaging game.

I'm in Rhythm Heaven
I love this game! I hadn't been playing my DS for a while, but since I got this game I'm always reaching for it. The game is addicting, the music is catchy and the tunes get stuck in my head. It gets better as you unlock more games and the difficulty increases (it gets faster and more involved). Everything else about the game has already been mentioned in other reviews.

Video quality improvement
The cable provides a slight video improvement. I would replace the OEM cable again for another Wii. My flat screen LCD does not upscale to HD via component video input so I only receive 480p resolution.

Maximize It, If You Can
Great Product At A Good Price. If your TV supports it, use the component cables for better image quality. I am pleased with my purchase of this product and would advise others that the product is useful.

Great cables for the price
This cables are cheap and made a decent amount of difference when connected to my Plasma TV after settings resolution in Wii to 480p
btuI wish wii was true HD ad not just 480p so improvement was minor but nevertheless its a shame to use the old RCA connection so I had to get this ;-)

A Great Idea
I have been remodeling my living room for the last year and the only thing left to get was a new coffee table. After getting rock band for Christmas and having it all over the living room this was perfect. The dark brown matches and I have put a wood tray on top of it for drinks and snacks. When playing rock band I just move the tray and we're good to go. I did have a little trouble with the first one I got. It didn't come with the bolts to put the feet on. The company was a little hard to deal with but amazon helped me out and I'm real happy with it. I do not have the problem as some with the top hitting the drums. For me this is worth the money.

It's inevitable that the comparison between this game, and the game Rock Band be made. However for me, the original Guitar Hero series is what created this genre and the Harmonix folks took it to the next logical step with Rock Band before they did over at Guitar Hero.

I own the abomination that is Rock Band on the Wii, Guitar Hero III on the Wii, Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band 2.

To make it simple, if you own nothing, I would recommend Guitar Hero World Tour over Rock Band 2.

For me, it's about the drum kit. Of the two families I prefer the GH:WT style out of the box. It's three drum/two cymbal approach works the best for me and gives you the most 'real' feel. Yes, I'm aware you can add cymbals to the RB2 family but it's just that - add which makes the system more expensive. Plus, unlike other reviewers, the fact that the GH:WT system uses the Wiimotes as their connection is a huge appeal to me, not a detriment. That makes everything save the microphone a wireless device. With Rock Band the Drums were a tripping nightmare trying to put 'out of the way' and back out when I wanted to play with them. I've had four wiimotes since I bought the system when it came out so this wasn't a 'bad' thing but if you don't have the Wiimotes this can be an issue as you need one per instrument, four total.

The drums aren't perfect on GH:WT though however. Instead of a spot to 'anchor' the foot pedal it floats free. Not being a drummer the foot pedal for me tends to be a stomp pedal and that makes it move around a lot. This is on a carpeted floor.

The new guitar is a bit less boxy on the back side, but in general feels a lot like the GH 3 guitar. I have not used the new touchpad like part as for me sliding up and down the neck I can get lost some times.

The new 'star power' button on the bridge of the guitar controller is a welcome attempt at making it less awkward for those of us who like to sit on our but with our feet up and rock out. However I still get all ham fisted and screw up when I try to punch the power while playing. Glad that the wave around the guitar like a fool option is there as well. It took me some time to figure out (without reading manual) that banging both cymbals is the star power option. I had to pause it and read the manual.

Game Play is now your typical multi-player rock group style game play. No big surprises. I'll admit I do like Rock Band's style of 'save the bad guy' in the group which is important for me as I have a 7 and 5 year old band members sometimes. However I also more like the really 'beginner' mode especially for the guitar. HOld any button down and strum is a great tool for teaching the really little kids and un-coordinated adults how to play and still have fun with everyone else.

However when the five and seven year old go to bed and Dad wants to play the solo mode has one feature I wish they'd spend a little time on. I'd like to have the pre-built characters be selectable as band members and each have some difficulty/expertise etc. Random kick offs of star power, that kind of things. I'm not a big fan of this 'insert some random rock star that was paid a license fee' to enter game and 'battle' that the solo modes have, nor do I care to pretend I'm some rock star.

The online content I've not had a complete time to work with other than buying a few songs I wanted. I have not tried the multiplayer content yet but plan on it.

The GH 3 guitar I had from the first Wii based GH game worked flawlessly with the system.

Lots of fun
I really like this game...Have been having a blast playing it. The drums are hard, but I am a bit uncoordinated :) Looking forward to getting a second guitar to play a full band. Also, as the controllers are compatible with rock Band plan on getting that game too.

Great game, lots of fun.
We had GH3 for the Wii and it was our most played game. The only problem was getting the kids to take turns. Now they don't have to. Our kids (and the neighborhood kids) would play this game everyday if homework, sports and we parents didn't get in the way (we parents play too). The only problem I have with the game is that there should really be a way to block the songs that are inappropriate for kids.
