Step it up? I would say so.
I have been a loyal Pokemon fan since I was 9 years old, it has been a decade and I am still hooked on the games. This game really ramped it up from Diamond and Pearl especially in the Wifi category. I am really impressed with this game, I have enjoyed playing it, and still am. I am getting great hours of entertainment, and I think anyone who likes RPG's will love this game.

A Fun twist on Diamond and Pearl
I do believe this is a good game. Obviously, if you were considering this game you know it is just a remake of Diamond and Pearl versions. Although it is a remake, it is still fun. It extends the Sinnoh Pokedex to 210 and introduces new pokemon, plus you can catch Dialga AND Palkia. Not to mention the three legendary birds from the original Kanto region, Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is only because I felt the change of pokemon the Elite Four have was not for the best. But still, great game.
